SCUBA Tanks

Black Jack Tech Diving Services

Properly maintained gear prevents aborted
dives, accidents, and may even save your life.
Frankly if you are interested in advanced
diving or technical diving you should know the
importance of maintaining your gear. Going
beyond the basics requires you maintain
your kit.

Black Jack Tech Diving provides certified repair
services, and oxygen service cleaning for most
major brands of SCUBA equipment. Our turn
around time for gear repair is typically two
weeks but rush service is available for an
additional fee. We will do everything possible
to get your gear back up and working as
quickly as possible.

A quick note about warranty work is in order. Several scuba manufacturers advertise lifetime free parts and other benefits for purchasing their gear. Unfortunately there is fine print attached to some of these warranties such as the offer is good only for the original owner or only if the owner registers their gear or busys from an authorized dealer. Before your gear is serviced we will make sure your gear meets the manufacturers requirements for warranty service to ensure you know if your gear is covered. The manufacturers call the shots and we want you to be an informed consumer. Often gear that has been purchased in the grey market is not covered. Check with us and we will find out before you authorize the service.

Tank Inspections

All tanks brought to Black Jack Tech Diving for fills and service work will require a current VIP inspection and hydro test. We provide both services for a nominal fee to ensure both your and our safety.

What do you mean my tanks won't pass inspection????

Bad Tanks

Note: We have decided not to invest in the equipment required to eddy test older aluminum tanks made out of the 6351 alloy. While we are certified to perform such testing, the cost associated with such equipment would require we raise our prices and we would rather not do that for the relatively small number of 6351 alloy tanks we see. Should you own one of the pre 1990 6351 tanks we will happily refer you to a shop that can complete the inspection for you.
